[ State ] Office of Early & Elementary Learning
West Virginia Department of Education
The West Virginia Department of Education's organizational structure includes an Office of Early & Elementary Learning that holds responsibility for PreK-5th grade.
More +Work groups to achieve the goals of the Office focus around a systems approach to facilitate continuous quality improvement across the state’s early learning system (PreK through fifth grade) include:
- School Readiness (including WV Universal Pre-K);
- Third Grade Literacy Proficiency/Advocacy and Public Engagement;
- PreK through fifth grade Standards and Support; and
- Early Learning Workforce Development
